The Iskonawa Field is rooted in the geometric painting tradition of the Iskonawa people, where repetition and modular organization shape the visual language. A grid of of nested rectangular units covers the surface generating a central rhombic figure, reinforcing the pattern’s internal symmetry.
Hand-painted by Iskonawa women artisans in Ucayali, using natural dye in a warm mustard tone.
